Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Collecting should be fun, not work. Here is how FINALSTICKER works, short and to the point. Tap a question to open the answer. Is your question missing? Write to us at info@finalsticker.com and we will gladly help.

Getting started

What is FINALSTICKER?

FINALSTICKER is an online swap platform for stickers and trading cards. You keep your collection digitally, see at a glance what you are missing and what you have spare, and find collectors from all over the world who need or offer exactly that. Trades and purchases happen directly between members, and everything is sent by post. How it works in detail is explained on the page Sticker swap platform.

What is a sticker swap platform?

A place where collectors swap their duplicate stickers for the ones they are missing. It used to be the schoolyard or a swap meet. Online, a swap platform compares the lists of all collectors and shows you who has exactly what you lack and needs what you have twice. FINALSTICKER does this for stickers and trading cards, free of charge and worldwide. More on the page Sticker swap platform.

What does it cost?

Nothing. Managing your collection, finding partners, trading and buying are free. If you want more, such as selling yourself or collecting without ads, you can book Premium. It is not a subscription and ends on its own.

Do I need an account?

Not for browsing: the catalogue, checklists and player pages are open to everyone. For your own collection, for trading and buying, you create a free account in a minute. We only ask for your address when you trade or buy for the first time. The other person sees it only once the deal is agreed.

What is the quickest way to start?

After signing up, a short tour walks you through the first steps. Then go to “My Collections”, pick your album from the catalogue via “Add collection” and enter what you are missing and what you have spare. From then on FINALSTICKER suggests matching trade partners.

Can I use FINALSTICKER in my language and currency?

Yes. The platform is available in nine languages, and collectors from many countries take part. Prices set by other members are converted into your currency as a guide.

Collection

How do I set up my collection?

Under “My Collections”, tap “Add collection” and find your album or card series in the catalogue. You can enter your stickers in the way that suits you: the Assistant walks you through the album, in Manual Mode you tap sticker by sticker, and under “Import & Export” you simply paste your number lists.

What do “Need” and “Offer” mean?

Need are the stickers you are still missing. Offer are your duplicates that you want to pass on. If you have several spares of the same sticker, enter the quantity. In a trade a small “×3” then appears on the number, and your partner sees right away that more is possible.

What does the Assistant do?

It goes through the album with you, sticker by sticker: “Missing” or “Got it”. After that it only asks about your duplicates. Ideal when you enter an album for the first time and have no ready-made list.

Why are some numbers coloured?

Coloured numbers are special-finish stickers, for example glitter, gold or hologram. They are usually rarer and more sought after than regular stickers. That is why we highlight them everywhere: in your collection, in the checklist and in a trade. So you never give away a glitter sticker for an ordinary one by mistake.

What are bonus stickers?

Stickers that exist in addition to the album, such as update sets, limited editions or inserts. They always sit at the end of the list and do not count towards your progress. Your album is complete once all regular stickers are in.

What is a checklist?

The complete list of all stickers in an album: number, name, section and finish. It is the basis for your collection and for every trade. For numbers and order we follow the standard collectors know, which is the manufacturer’s numbering. That way your lists also match those of other collectors.

Where do I find the checklist and details of an album?

On the album’s info page. You reach it via the info icon in “My Collections” or via “Info” while editing. It shows the description, the complete checklist and the way to the image catalogue.

Can I look at the stickers of an album?

Yes, in the image catalogue. There you leaf through the scans of an album as if it were the album itself, search by number or name and see for each sticker who is offering it right now. Perfect for recognising a sticker or simply browsing.

Can I upload scans myself?

Please do. If a sticker has no image yet, scan or photograph it and upload the picture via “Suggest an image”. We check it briefly and publish it. The image catalogue grows with every collector who joins in.

What happens when I tap a sticker?

A small card for that sticker opens. You see how many collectors need it, who offers it for trade or sale, and you add it to your list with one tap on “I need it”.

Are there only sticker albums?

No. The catalogue contains classic sticker albums as well as card series. You manage both in the same way.

Which albums and card series are in the catalogue?

Panini and Topps for the World Cup, Euro, Bundesliga and Champions League, club albums, Tour de France, plus card series such as Match Attax and Adrenalyn XL and the first Pokémon sets. The catalogue grows with the collectors’ suggestions. Browse the catalogue.

My album is missing from the catalogue. What now?

Suggest it to us via “Suggest a missing album”, ideally with a cover image and the key details. We review the suggestion and add the album. As a thank-you, every 10 accepted suggestions with an image earn you one month of Premium for free.

What are the player pages?

Every player has a page of their own with all stickers and cards they appear on, across all albums, including their first issues (“rookies”). You find them through the search at the very top, which also finds albums, card series and members.

Bring your lists, take your lists

I already keep my lists elsewhere. Do I have to type everything again?

No. Copy your need and offer lists from wherever you keep them, be it another trading platform, a spreadsheet or a note, and paste them under “Import & Export”. FINALSTICKER recognises the numbers and adds them to your collection. It takes seconds.

Can I take my lists with me again?

Any time. Your lists belong to you. Under “Import & Export” you copy Need and Offer as text with one click and use them wherever you like. We do not lock anyone in; we want you to stay because you enjoy it.

Which formats does the import understand?

Almost all common ones: numbers separated by commas, quantities in brackets such as 5(3) or as repeats like “5, 5, 5”, leading zeros like “007” and codes like “GER12”. After saving, a short report shows what was added, what was removed and what we could not match.

Can I have my collection on paper?

Yes. The checklist PDF gives you the Need and Offer of an album to print and tick off, handy for swap meets.

How do I show my lists to others?

In your profile, the “Need/Offer lists” switch shows the lists of each collection, ready to copy. Visitors to your profile also see which of your duplicates they need themselves.

I am coming from another swap platform. How do I switch?

In three steps: copy your want and offer lists there, paste them here under “Import & Export”, done. If an album is missing from the catalogue, suggest it; it is usually added within a few days. Invite your swap partners via your profile link and you will find each other again as friends right away.

Trading

How does a trade work?

1. You choose a partner and put together what you give and what you get. 2. The other person accepts, declines or makes a counter-offer. 3. After acceptance you see each other’s addresses. 4. You both send the stickers and confirm dispatch and receipt. 5. Finally you rate each other.

How do I find trade partners?

Under “Trade”, FINALSTICKER shows all members who have what you need and need what you have spare. The best matches come first. The search is worldwide, but you can filter by country, collection and last activity. If there is no match, we tell you why.

Nobody matches right now. Do I have to check every day?

No. Tap “Notify me”. We check your whole collection daily and get in touch by e-mail or Telegram as soon as a matching partner appears.

What if an offer does not quite suit me?

Then you make a counter-offer and change the selection, or you decline. If a request stays unanswered, it expires by itself after 14 days and the stickers are free again.

Why can a duplicate not be selected?

It is reserved (lock icon) because it is already part of another open deal. This way no sticker is promised twice. Tapping the lock takes you to that deal. Once it is completed or cancelled, the sticker is free again.

Can I exclude individual duplicates from trading?

Yes. In the selling area of your collection you can set valuable pieces to “sale only” with the lock. They are then no longer offered for trade.

How do I know whether a trade is fair?

You recognise special-finish stickers by their colour and multiple spares by the “×” sign. With Premium and your own prices, FINALSTICKER also points out stickers that are worth clearly more than the rest before you trade. Only you see this hint.

Where do I see my ongoing deals?

Under “Messages” all your trades, purchases and Marketplace inquiries come together with their chat. The bell reports news, and the dashboard shows where it is your turn.

I will be away for a while. What then?

Switch on Holiday mode in the settings. You then receive no new requests and do not appear in the partner search. Your collection stays as it is, and when you are back you simply switch again.

Shipping and tracking

How do I send stickers properly?

Stickers belong in a sleeve or small bag, never loose in the envelope. The letter should be flat and sturdy, otherwise sorting machines tear it open. Handy: every deal comes with a ready-made cover letter as a PDF with the address for a window envelope and the list to tick off.

How does tracking work?

When you click “Shipped”, you choose the carrier and enter the tracking number. Your partner gets a “Track shipment” link and sees where the letter is. You can also add the number later. Tip for Germany: even regular Deutsche Post letters carry a number for basic tracking; it is printed in the franking mark.

My letter has not arrived. What can I do?

Ask in the chat first; a delay usually clears up quickly. If the letter has still not arrived ten days after acceptance (21 days for international shipments), report a dispute via “Letter not received”. We will then look into the case. For valuable shipments we recommend registered mail.

Something is missing from the shipment. What now?

Write to the other person in the chat; it is often an oversight and gets sent afterwards. You can record your experience in the rating. Members you no longer want to deal with can be blocked.

Buying and selling

Can I also buy stickers and cards?

Yes, in two ways. Duplicates from the collections: members with the selling feature offer their spares. And individual, high-value pieces in the Marketplace. Buying is free; you do not need Premium for it. You find the offers in the Marketplace, on every album page under “Offers” and via “Buy” with trade partners and friends.

How does a purchase work?

1. You put the stickers you want into the basket and choose the shipping method, for example standard shipping, registered mail or pickup. 2. You accept the price or make your own price proposal. 3. After acceptance you see each other’s addresses. 4. You pay as agreed and mark “Payment sent”. 5. The seller confirms receipt of the payment and ships. 6. You confirm receipt and can rate the purchase.

What is “Buy now”?

For offers from the FINALSTICKER shop you can pay fixed-price items online right away, for example by card or PayPal. The order is confirmed immediately, without arranging things in the chat. For these purchases the operator of FINALSTICKER is your seller: you receive an invoice and, as a consumer, have the statutory right of withdrawal.

How can I sell myself?

With Premium. Set your mode in the settings to “Trade & sell” or “Sell only” and give your duplicates prices in the “Sell” area of your collection. Without a price, “negotiable” applies. You enter shipping costs and payment options once in the settings. We charge 0% sales commission.

Am I selling privately or commercially?

You decide that yourself when you activate selling. Anyone who sells regularly and for profit is usually considered a commercial seller and has additional duties, such as provider identification, a right of withdrawal and the notice on the legal guarantee. The correct classification is your responsibility. If in doubt, get brief professional advice.

The seller uses a different currency. What does that mean for me?

Prices apply in the seller’s currency. Next to them you see the approximate amount in your currency. How you handle conversion and possible fees is something you settle in the chat.

Who handles payment and shipping?

The members between themselves. FINALSTICKER arranges the contact and is not a party to the contract for trades and purchases between members. You agree price, payment and shipping directly; no money passes through FINALSTICKER. The only exception is purchases in the FINALSTICKER shop: there the operator sells directly, and you can pay online.

Marketplace

What is the Marketplace?

The place for all offers: duplicates from albums offered by members with the selling feature, and special single pieces such as rare, signed or professionally graded cards, each with photos, condition and description. Anyone can browse and send inquiries.

How does it differ from the collections?

In the collections you keep albums and series: wanted, offered and trading. The Marketplace is the shop window for buying: there you see duplicates from albums and individual items with photos side by side, can filter by category, publisher and price, and put both into the same cart.

How do I buy an item?

Via “Send inquiry” you start a chat with the seller and settle price, shipping and payment. This is non-binding. Fixed-price items from the FINALSTICKER shop can also be ordered directly and paid online.

Can I save or collect items?

Yes. With the heart you save items and individual sticker offers to your watchlist. There you also see what from your wanted list is on offer right now. In the cart you gather several positions and send one joint inquiry per seller.

How do I list my own items?

Under “My storage → My Articles” you create the item with title, condition, description and at least one photo and then publish it. With Premium up to three listings are active at the same time, with Premium + as many as you like.

Do I get a shop page as a seller?

Yes, as soon as you offer something. Your duplicates from albums and, with Premium +, your items are gathered on your shop page. You can copy the link and share it anywhere.

What does shipping cost?

The seller decides, per item or through their shipping rates, separately for domestic and international. If it says “on request”, you settle shipping in the chat.

Friends and profile

How do I add friends?

Via “Add as friend” in a profile you send a friend request. The other person accepts or declines. Unanswered requests expire after four weeks. Your friends list shows at a glance with whom a trade or purchase is possible right now.

What does a profile show?

Ratings, verification, the member’s collections and, if you wish, the need and offer lists. So you know who you are dealing with before you send a request.

How do I block someone?

On the member’s profile page. After that you receive no new requests from this person. Deals already in progress can still be completed properly.

Can I hide my online status and my city?

Yes. You set both in the settings under “Account”. Others then see neither when you were last online nor where you live.

Safety and trust

How do I recognise trustworthy partners?

By the ratings from earlier deals and the verification badge next to the name. For valuable shipments we also recommend a trackable shipping method.

What is verification?

A badge that shows the details have been checked. You receive “name checked” automatically when the name from a payment matches your profile. For “name & address checked” we send you a code by post for a small fee (€3.49), which you then redeem. We never ask for an ID document. Commercial accounts carry a badge of their own. While you are verified, the checked details are locked. If you change them, the badge is removed.

How do ratings work?

After a trade you rate each other with stars in three categories and a comment. After a purchase the buyer gives the rating. Trade and sales ratings are shown separately.

Why can I not click links in the chat?

For your protection. Scammers like to lure people to other websites. That is why we show links in chats as plain text and add a safety note. Only share payment details if you trust the person.

How do I report a violation?

Via “Report” on item and profile pages. We review every report. Errors concerning players or images can be reported directly on the respective page.

What if something goes wrong with a trade or purchase?

For deals between members FINALSTICKER is not a party to the contract and has no control over how they are carried out, for example if a shipment is lost in the post. But we give you good tools: ratings, verification, tracking, dispute reports and blocking. The legal details are set out in the Terms.

Where is FINALSTICKER operated?

In Germany, with servers in Germany. The operator is named in the legal notice, data processing is described in the privacy policy. We use no social media buttons and no ad trackers.

Premium

What do Premium and Premium + offer?

Premium (€4.90 per month or €49 per year): no ads, selling duplicates, storage management with packing list, value hint when trading, better placement as a seller and up to three Marketplace listings. Premium + (€14.90 per month or €149 per year): everything in Premium and an unlimited number of Marketplace listings. In both cases: 0% sales commission.

Is Premium a subscription?

No. You book one month or one year, and after that Premium ends by itself. No automatic renewal, no cancellation needed. Trading and buying remain free afterwards as usual.

What is Supporter?

For €12.99 a year you support the running of FINALSTICKER – servers, catalogue maintenance and new features. In return the platform is ad-free for you for a whole year, and you wear the Supporter badge on your profile. Selling functions are not included; that is what Premium is for. Ends by itself.

How do I pay, and do I get an invoice?

By card, SEPA direct debit or PayPal. The invoice arrives by e-mail and is always available in your payment history. You exercise your right of withdrawal conveniently via the withdrawal function in the settings. In a few countries we currently cannot offer paid services for tax reasons. Trading and buying still work there.

Can I give Premium as a gift or redeem a code?

Both. When you give it as a gift, you receive a code with a printable voucher that you pass on yourself. You redeem a code you received on the Premium page.

Account and notifications

I did not receive a confirmation e-mail.

Please check your spam folder first. Some providers deliver e-mails with a delay of a few minutes. If nothing arrives, request the e-mail again or write to us. We will gladly activate your account manually.

How am I informed about news?

The way you prefer. In the settings you choose what we inform you about by e-mail, you can bundle messages and set quiet hours. Important system e-mails about sign-in, security and invoices are always sent.

Does that work on my phone too?

Yes, with Telegram. In the settings you connect your account with one tap; you do not have to give a phone number. After that, requests, replies and shipping updates land on your phone right away.

How do I change my details, language or time zone?

All in the settings. You confirm a new e-mail address via a link we send you. We detect your time zone automatically, but you can set it yourself so that all times are right for you.

Why am I asked to confirm the Terms or Privacy Policy again?

When we adjust the conditions, we show you a short summary of the changes on your next visit. One click and you carry on.

How do I delete my account?

In the settings you mark your account for deletion. You can undo this for seven days; after that your personal data is removed or anonymised. Ongoing deals are informed that you are leaving. If a dispute is still open, we wait with the deletion until it is settled, for two more weeks at most. We keep invoices for legal reasons. More in the Privacy Policy.

Which data does FINALSTICKER store, and is there advertising?

We only store what is needed for your account, trading and buying. Details are in the Privacy Policy. We use only technically necessary cookies and run no advertising trackers. In some places we show partner links to online retailers, marked as “Ad”. With Premium or Supporter they are hidden.
