Match Attax UEFA Champions League & Europa League 2021/22 - Extra

About this collection

Match Attax Extra 2021/22 by Topps was the first Extra set to cover all three European competitions and holds 299 cards plus 29 special cards. Extra is the follow-up to the main collection from late summer: it appears in mid-season and takes in players who were missing from the first run. The Conference League was played for the first time that season, and the set grew to 34 clubs. New are 24 cards of the managers – in this series, manager cards exist only in the Extra sets, never in the main collection. The core is 64 Squad Update cards, joined by Away Kit for the change strips, Shirt Service, Starburst, Out of this World, Mega Value, Pro Elite, Stars of 2021, Position Switch and Signature Style. The 32 cards of the Topps Heritage Man of the Match line revisit the design of older seasons. Collector's note: three Competition Finals cards show the venues of the three finals – and one of them no longer holds true: the 2022 Champions League final had been announced for Saint Petersburg and was moved to Paris that February. Eight further cards show no individual player but act as Power Attack and Power Defence in the game, two of them with three players of one team each.
