FIFA World Cup 2018 Russia

About this collection

The official Panini sticker collection for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia comprises 682 stickers in the standard edition for Central Europe. As the thirteenth World Cup album since 1970 it covers all 32 national teams with twenty stickers each — crest, team photo and eighteen players —, plus the twelve venues and the host city posters, which in this variant are stuck in as separate stickers (nos. 20–31). Fifty foil stickers provide the highlights: the eight opening images featuring the trophy, tournament logo and match ball, every federation crest, and the ten "FIFA World Cup Legends" at the end of the album. Collector's note: because the albums reached the shops before the final squads were announced, Panini released a 92-sticker update set — its numbers carry an appended x (36x, 42x, 51x …) and replace the outdated images; here they are listed as special stickers. The black backs identify this edition at a glance. Alongside it there are the international version with only 670 stickers, in which the posters are printed into the album, and a gold-framed Gold Edition for Switzerland. A curiosity about the tournament itself: it was the first World Cup since 1958 without Italy, while Iceland and Panama made their debuts.
