FIFA World Cup 2018 Russia - Gold Edition

About this collection

The Gold Edition of the Panini collection for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia appeared exclusively in Switzerland with 682 gold-framed stickers. In content it matches the standard edition — 32 teams, twelve stadiums, the host city posters as stickers, ten World Cup legends —, but stands out through its finish: every sticker carries a golden frame, the foil images show a golden grain instead of the usual silver, and the album itself comes in metallic gold, with the outline of Switzerland in the "Gold Edition" emblem between the Russian and Swiss coats of arms. Collector's note: at the end of the album a separate page awaits twelve additional stickers — the "Legends 1970–2014", numbered C1 to C12, one great per World Cup from Pelé to Miroslav Klose. They did not come in the packets but were available in Switzerland through Coca-Cola promotional products; the same series also accompanied the Austrian album. For trading you can go by the 682-sticker edition: the numbering from 0 to 681 is identical, only the look differs.
